Private Movement Lessons - Functional Integration (R)

Individualized movement lessons to help you do what you want to do, whether it's a sport, a hobby, or keeping yourself independent.

During a session, gentle movement, soothing touch, breathing, and directed attention all help you become more aware of your own movement. We focus on the quality of how the movements are done, rather than the range of motion or strength of a muscle group. We explore movement that is natural and comfortable for you, and then expand from there to explore ranges of motion or kinds of movement that at first may seem awkward but gradually become more familiar as the lesson progresses. Sometimes at the end of a lesson you'll be surprised by the big differences you notice in your sensations or your posture after the subtle, gentle movements that seemed to be doing “nothing.”
