Sketching and Painting Class

Levels 1-8

**Based on the students' artistic skills, each will be placed into an appropriate level.

In this class, we help students to:

* Understand forms and shapes
* Understand the rules of perspective
* Command the conventions of pictorial space and proportions
* Grasp the use of scale, size, line and form
* Be more sensitive to the language of color: tint, shade, hue, tone, and texture
* Develop fine motor skills Improve hand-eye coordination

Students will learn painting techniques, proper use of materials, color-mixing, and will be asked to explore mediums such as:

* graphite
* charcoal
* pastels
* watercolors
* acrylics
* oils
