If you've tried a bit of needle felting, on your own or in class, and you're hungry for more and more ways to use this technique, here is the class for you. Learn tips and tricks to make your wool do your bidding, including how to embed objects into your creations, like wire armature, noisemakers and found objects, texture and surface refining, fiber blending and more.

What is needle felting like?

Needle felting is a fun, creative and simple technique with unequaled versatility. Because the materials are clean and completely portable, needle felting is a great lap-activity that you can take pretty much anywhere you feel like crafting. The materials won't bust your crafting budget, and the tools you get in this class can be used over and over again for tons of projects on your own.

How does needle felting work?

Needle or “dry” felting is the process of turning wool fiber into felt using barbed needles. (Industrial felt is made using thousands of these needles.) The needle is punched or pushed repeatedly through the wool which locks the fibers together, creating a matted fabric or 3D object.
