Reading & Math Tutor

Description

Elementary students from Kindergarten through 6th grade ( I am willing to consider older students also). Nothing to purchase unless you would like to bring a book of your choice along as an extra. I teach phonemic awareness, fluency, comprehension and parts of speech. I love to work with students who are wanting to learn, but I have also have experience working with kids that really don't like to read and have had success with them also. I am a mom of 5, grandma of 5. I have worked with the school district for almost 9 years now. I am also a student at Highline Comm. College. I love to learn and I encourage my students to keep on learning. What interests them, interests me. We have a lot of fun learning.

Pricing Details

My standard rate is $15.00 per hour per student. I know that there are tutors that charge more than this, but I don't like to charge more simply because I think education should be affordable. I would prefer to make more but when it comes to kids learning I am willing to take less so they can learn more. If there are more than one from a family and they are able to work together I will discount that rate farther. I only tutor in my home.
