I have been teaching individuals and groups for over 15 years and am currently the instructor for the Seattle Firefighters Pipes and Drums and the Snohomish County Firefighters Pipes and Drums. I've also taught group lessons for a number of years with the Keith Highlanders Pipe Band.
I offer tuition in Kirkland, so I'm easily accesable from all Eastside locations--Redmond, Bellevue, Renton, Bothell, Woodinville, etc, as well as Seattle.

Review of Neil Hubbard, April 01, 2009
I'm a 40-year old beginner with the chanter / pipes, and working with Neil has been great. He is easy to work with and to learn from -- he constantly demonstrates patience, and understands my frustrations. He is encouraging. He pushes me (while setting appropriate expectations) and makes me want to continue to play and learn. I like how he takes apart the difficult notes and tunes to their basic foundation. I have learned a lot and have continued to improve over the past 8 months. His experience level is such that he will continue to be a good instructor as my playing matures.

Review of Neil Hubbard, February 01, 2009
Neil Hubbard began teaching a group of us Firefighters in Snohomish County, WA how to play bagpipe music in May of 2007.
In these lessons Neil has tought a group of firefighters, who for the most part, have never played or even looked at music in their lives to play this difficult instrument.
I thank Neil for the knowledge he has passed on to us and the patience with which he has conducted our lessons. After all we are all firefighters and can tent to be a little "Type A" at times.

Time To Give Back

As a teacher and musician, something I consider very important is giving back to the community. Now, I haven't always felt this way, and used as an excuse that I didn't know what I could do. We can...
