Review of Kevin Auld, April 23, 2008
We've had our son in bagpipe lessons with Kevin for 4 years, starting when he was 8 years old. We've tried a lot of different music instructors for our 2 children, and never had any who could really connect with them and put so much energy into finding out what motivates them. In addition, he has an excellent focus on building strong technique that will carry you far in bagpiping. There are 6 levels of bagpiping in the competition world, from "practice chanter" to grade 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. This year he was promoted to Grade 3, moving up one level every year! My son made a school project video about Kevin last year which is on his media page at http://www.seattlepiper.com/media/index.html.
