Phil has been a full time music teacher since 1973 and has taught at 2 local colleges, 2 high schools, and in many music stores since that time. He has also written four published guitar manuals, and many assorted articles on guitar styles and techniques. He specializes in 3 finger banjo styles and teaches basic through advanced techniques. In addition he treaches Bass, Mandolin, and Banjo in Auburn, Enumclaw, Issaquah, and Redmond.
