I've been taking weekly cello lessons from Marcie for a little over 3 years now, and I'm very happy and grateful for the progress I've made (it was a matter of weeks before my wife stopped wearing ear plugs during my practice). Many people (including my former self) are tentative about taking up classical string instruments as an adult, but Marcie and her style of teaching facilitate continuous and significant improvements at all ages by being perceptive, insightful, patient and encouraging. She challenges you without being intimidating, and instills in you the drive to improve for the sake of making better music. I remember telling Marcie a few months into our lessons: "I like that music comes out of my hands!" Thanks, Marcie!
