Summer Rock Camp 2008

Description

So you wanna be a Rockstar? Here’s your chance to play in a rock band!! Players with basic understanding of the Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, and Vocals will learn how to combine their talents and perform as a band. Instructors Eric Snyder and Chase Culp (Point One) cover a range of topics including rhythm section, dynamics, songwriting, soloing, music business and rehearsal techniques. Guest artists (to be announced) will teach segments on topics including music business, musicianship, recording, and more.

Past guests instructors have included Peter Klett (from the multi-platinum band Candlebox), Alan White (Yes, John Lennon), Michael Derosier (Heart), Keith Wright (Guitarist for Point One, Brandi Carlile).

Students will also receive group and private instruction during the week on their instrument. Each band will have a professional rehearsal room equipped with a full PA, Amps, and Drumset.

The camp is very hands-on. Everyone gets plenty of performance time. On the final day of the camp all participants will perform in concert for friends and family at Studio Seven in Seattle, one of Seattle’s most popular concert venues.
