Subject: Seattle Book Making Classes

Ages: 16 to 100 year olds

Learn the basics of traditional bookbinding and box making as you create a hardcover, cloth bound book and a custom-made clamshell box. You will be introduced to the techniques and materials of the venerable craft of bookbinding as you sew, fold and bind a blank book, then measure and construct a box in which to house it. Class held in instructor's well equipped binding and printing studio in weekend sessions which take place on Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. This class is offered through the University of Washington Experimental College and they must be contacted directly to pay their $10 registration fee for your name to appear on their roster (in addition to the class fee paid to the instructor) ****.
