Are you looking for a class to strengthen your child's intellect including memory expansion, logic building, and goal-setting development.

Are you a retiree looking to turn over a new stone, scratch an old itch, or just find an activity to adequately stretch your brain?

Are you a college student ready to return to an old flame that you abandoned shamefully due to social stigma?

Or are you just looking to learn something a little bit better while having fun at the same time!?!?! Then this class is for you.

Join me, a tournament chess competitor and scholar, on a journey exploring the wide world of chess, including:
the rules and initial set-up of the pieces, the history of the game, tactical puzzles, end-game exploration, world-champion match analysis, opening repertoire construction, pawn-structure considerations, positional-play sharpening, blitz strategy, correspondence chess, and tournament preparation. There's a lot to this beautiful game but don't let it intimidate you.

Be you absolute novice or well-versed coffee house kibitzer, I can guarantee an improvement to your game. And you will have fun! Many instructors are whip-cracking die-hards who are trying to turn students into grandmasters overnight, consequentially sucking the enjoyment out of the game. Not I. My style is "no stress / no pressure" and my goal is to develop a new dimension of enjoyment in your life. The benefits of chess are well-documented and the inclusion of this game into yours will improve your life skills.

So what are you waiting for, give it a try!
