Magic Chess
Learning the game of chess has been shown to increase students’ critical thinking skills. It enhances memory, recognition of patterns, logic, awareness and analysis. Studies link chess to an increase in math problem solving skills and mathematical understanding. Chess has also been shown to build spatial abilities as well as improve verbal and reading skills.

Learning the game of chess has been shown to increase students’ critical thinking skills. It enhances memory, recognition of patterns, logic, awareness and analysis. Studies link chess to an increase in math problem solving skills and mathematical understanding. Chess has also been shown to build spatial abilities as well as improve verbal and reading skills.
In Magic Chess beginning players start with the basics and move up from there. The more advanced players work on higher level chess strategies. Students are exposed to various tactics, and they are given an opportunity to apply these skills in real game play situations with other students in the class.
