Basketball Cheer Squad is a beginning-level squad for cheerleaders ages 5 to 14. This squad practices weekly from September until December, then they cheer for the Bellevue Parks Basketball League from January to March, in real cheerleading uniforms! The partipants learn approximately 20 cheers and one halftime routine in addition to learning valuable cheer and teamwork skills. Team members also have the opportunity to perform at community events. Basketball Cheer Squad is a great place for the beginning cheerleader! Please come to the mandatory parent and cheerleader meeting tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 5:00pm at Tyee Community Gym.

Eastside Dream Elite teams and classes are offered through the Bellevue Parks & Community Services Department. We work hard to keep costs low. The cost for the fall session of Basketball Cheer Squad is $75 for Bellevue residents and $85 for non-residents. Fall session goes from 9/24/08 to 12/10/08 and winter session will start in mid-January and go to the first of March. Scholarships are available for Bellevue residents who qualify. 2009-2010 dates will be announced as soon as they are scheduled.

My daughter has really enjoyed her cheerleading experience this past spring with Anne. She was promoted to Power Squad and if the times/locations work out for us, she will be there ready to participate. It was so much fun to watch the squad at the Seattle Storm Game and it was wonderful to watch the more experienced girls help with the younger ones. We are looking forward to September and the next cheer session.

Coach Anne is the best. She is so wonderful with all her cheerleaders. Any person that has thought about cheerleading should sign up for Coach Anne's Classes. She teaches her kids more then just cheerleading. She teaches them respect, confidence etc. We all love her.
