•Worked as a youth organizer for a community-based organization in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood. During this time, did a lot of translation and interpretation and became familiar with the non for profit sector in the city.

• Has worked independently as a Spanish language coach for individual students and groups since 2006.

Whether your goal is to become fluent or to simply be able to get around on your next vacation, effective and fun Spanish lessons are the way to go.

Forget about all that verb conjugation back in high school or the class of 30 students in college where you never had a chance to speak and the focus was on theory rather than actual use. My approach is to help you use Spanish in context to be able to successfully learn. This way, you will be speaking Spanish from day one.

I am able to provide my students with personal attention. There is no sales person preceding the instructor. There is not a "one size fits all" method and no chance that you will be placed with a novice instructor. I do the instruction myself and I am responsible for all of my students.

My lessons are, of course, very interactive. Students use a main text book (available with audio CDs) to have structure and order. However, rather than following a rigid script or a standardized curriculum, each of my lessons is custom made to meet your needs.

Although your specific needs and learning abilities will determine many of the lesson aspects, each class should always be goal-oriented and with practical purposes. It does not matter what level you are or if you are taking private lessons or group lessons, a pragmatic and realistic approach to your learning experience will be the norm.

I believe that there is not a perfect method. However, in my experience, there are good aspects to each methodology. Incorporating these aspects into your lessons is the key to a productive learning experience.
