FileMaker Pro is used to create and use integrated database systems for storing and organizing information so that it is available for efficient retrieval. Students will learn to use this program to organize, sort and retrieve information efficiently. Upon successful completion, students will be able to: explore the various elements of the FileMaker Pro environment, set up a database, modify a database, format layouts for a data base, create columnar reports, finalize a database, create relationships between tables in a database file, create buttons to perform tasks, access data from external FileMaker sources or files found in an external database, enhance the layout of a database, prepare and publish it on the web, and follow some of the best practices to keep data safe and prevent information loss.
