TeachStreet Summer of Learning Contest: 30 days of free classes

Put on your shades, slap on the sunblock and get outside. It's summer and it's not just time to live your life, it's time to learn it! At TeachStreet, we love summer and all the fun things you can learn like kayaking, swimming, cycling and photography.

And, because we know summer is all about relaxing, enjoying the sunshine and kicking back, we've put together a simple, fun contest with lots of cool prizes.

How it Works – it's easy for teachers and students…

Enroll in a session!

Every day between July 15th and August 15th we're going to pay for you to learn something. Yes, really! It's easy to win—just enroll in a session and you could be selected!

Write Something Tuesdays!

Are you an expert? Share your expertise through the TeachStreet Forums or by writing an article and you could win a Tuesday prize! Here's how:

  1. Create a post on a TeachStreet forum. You can write a question you have (and one of our experts will likely answer it) or you can show-off your expertise by posting to an existing thread. Yes, it's that easy to win!

  2. Create an article with videos or pictures introducing yourself or explaining how to do something (i.e. do a new yoga pose, teach your dog a trick). Contestants who participate in this activity are eligible to win the Mega-Prizes awarded on July 14 and Aug 11.

We will select a winner each week on Tuesday starting June 15th through the month of August. That's a total of 11 winners plus a Grand Prize winner selected on September 1st. To add a little more fun, we're going to give BIGGER prizes on July 14th and August 11th for the best video or photo articles. Prizes will vary from TeachStreet t-shirts, to iTunes gift certificates, to air plane tickets! Mega-prizes are valued at over $100. The Grand Prize will be valued at over $500!!


The Small Type (Rules. We gotta have 'em.)

  • To be eligible for the TeachStreet Summer of Learning contest, articles must have either a photo or video in addition to a descriptive article. Posts to forums must be relevant and useful to the forum and the conversation topic.
  • Employees and contractors of TeachStreet, Inc. ("TeachStreet”) and members of their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
  • Void where prohibited.
  • If you are selected as a contest winner, you agree that TeachStreet may publicize your name, likeness, and your submission.
  • Apart from the prizes associated with being selected as a winner, TeachStreet shall not be obligated to compensate you in any way for such publicity.
  • Each entrant shall indemnify, defend, and hold TeachStreet harmless from any third party claims arising from or related to that entrant's participation in the Contest. In no event shall TeachStreet be liable to an entrant for acts or omissions arising out of or related to the contest or that entrant's participation in the contest.
  • Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of entries received. All taxes, including income taxes, are the sole responsibility of winners. No prize substitution is permitted. Winner(s) may be required to verify their entry.
  • Winners will be notified by email, and prizes will be mailed to address in registration.
