"The common sense cooking"
Posted by Chef David from Provence on November 07, 2009
As a chef, I have never respected another one more than I respect my Mother, and her Mother too as a matter of fact.
Most proffessional chefs, will talk about their mothers ... And with reasons !!!
One never chooses to embrace a career like that if it is not to share with people the very same passion transmit to them by their own mothers.
I almost admire how things come to them so naturally, so instintually. It seems like they are a endless source of inspiration, for they never worry about what to make for dinner. Or how it seems like they could recitate the inventory of their pantry by heart. Or how they can serve a pot roast once and make a noodle soup with the leftover broth.
I could go on and on, and I'm sure that we all have our own stories about it.
But the final word is:
Even the finest Chef will alway look up to mommy.
I know I do ...
Je t'aime Maman.
