Got2Lindy Dance Studios win 2nd Place in NationalPro/Am Competition

Marlboro resident and professional dance instructor, Chester Freeman of Got2Lindy Dance Studios, and his student, High Falls resident, Dorrie Boice won second place in the Pro/Am division of the American Lindy Hop Championships in Stamford, Connecticut last Saturday, Oct 24. Dorrie, a recent graduate of Rondout Valley High School, is juggling her freshman year at SUNY Ulster with her dedication to dance. She developed the choreography for the competition as part of her WISE Project and for the Girl Scouts Gold Award. The duo performed for local schools and events before debuting the piece in competition. Got2Lindy Dance Studios is based in the Hudson Valley, directed by Chester and Linda Freeman. The Freemans have taught on cruises and internationally. Group lessons are available in swing and ballroom in Stone Ridge, Kingston and Highland. Swing dances with a free lesson are held the second Saturday of every month in Port Ewen. All are welcome and no partner or experience is needed.
