Melissa is teaching me and my girlfriend Lindy Hop, and the two of us have very different needs -- she's a beginner and I'm a long-time dancer with many bad habits that need fixing. Melissa makes the lesson perfect for both of us -- just the right mix of steps and technique, and she knows how to give one of us something important to work on alone for a few minutes while she concentrates on the other. She is always cheerful and always encouraging and, most importantly, always crystal clear in her instruction. Melissa not only teaches ballroom dance, she teaches ballroom dance *instruction* to other teachers, she's that good.
