Do you have a perfect dog and want to prove it? Or a breed that people often are fearful of, but you know there is nothing to be scared of? Earning your Canine Good Citizen (CGC) could be the answer for you! Dogs that have earned this title, given by the American Kennel Club (AKC), have proven that they are good citizens, friendly to strangers and obedient. In some cases, rental units require that dogs earn their CGC. Many Therapy Animal organizations use the CGC as a basis for their own test, so this is a great starting point if you want to earn your therapy dog certificate.
