Get ready to show! We will help you teach your dog that being a show dog can be fun. Use tried and true methods using positive reinforcement to prepare your dog for the ring, included but not limited to free-stacking, loose lead gating and being handled by the judge on or off the table.
Our instructors not only have experience in the conformation ring but have had success finishing multiple champions using only methods approved by American Humane Association.
For this class you will need a fixed show collar such as a martingale or a clasp style show lead. Because we abide humane teaching guidelines, no slip-style collars will be allowed in class. Please inquire at trainer@ucladogs.com if you have any questions.

Review of Linda McVay, May 20, 2009
The great thing about Linda and UCLA is that dog owners learn techniques that will help them help their dogs learn anything, not just what is taught in class. My wife and I took our new 4month old Goldendoodle to Puppy Preschool and Puppy Kindergarten. We learned so much about dog-dog and dog-human interactions that we have been able to apply those strategies to our ill mannered 6 year old standard Poodle. She is now walking on leash without dragging us down the street. I've been recommending UCLA to eveyone I know with a dog.

Review of Linda McVay, March 16, 2009
I have attended Linda's classes over the past year with my now 1 year old beagle Roxy, and am currently enrolled in the UCLA primary dog class. Linda uses creative, effective, and fun approaches to training canines. Linda's instructions are easy to follow in class as well as to use at home. Her homework is fun. I give grateful credit to Linda for how much Roxy has progressed.
