STAR Puppy Program (Monday 6:30-7:30pm)
Beginning level for young dogs (4-6 months)
Focus on how to best communicate with your puppy. In classes aimed at earning the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy distinction, you will be able to get information on all of your puppy-raising questions including housetraining, chewing, and the most effective way to teach practical skills such as coming when called. AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy training is a natural lead in to the AKCィ Canine Good Citizen Program. http://www.akc.org/starpuppy/
Good Manners Dog Class (Monday 7:45-8:45pm)
Beginning level for dogs 6 months or older.
Dogs learn basic good manners such as polite greeting, walking on leash and commands (e.g., sit, down, come, leave it, etc.).
Canine Good Citizens (Tuesday 6:30-7:30pm)
Intermediate level class prepares dogs for CGC certification
“Perfect Pittie” (Tuesday 7:45-8:45pm)
Specialty class for pit bulls 5 months or older
Goal is to help owners of pit bulls understand breed characteristics and how to get the best out of their bully buddy. Focus is on teaching self control and appropriate behavior.
