Susan Bari Price is an excellent instructor who teaches the traditional atelier methods of drawing and painting. She is patient and incredibly encouraging to both beginners and more advanced students. She teaches a drawing and painting method where the student can see definite progress in his or her work. She helps the student to view drawing and painting as a process of learning how to see. As one of her students, I have been encouraged to reach for my highest potential and to embrace the challenge to have the drawing skills that will enable to fully express my creativity. I am thrilled to have her as my teacher and highly recommend her to other students.

I strongly recommend Susan Bari Price for anyone who wishes to develop their art skills in the classical tradition. Her instruction is based on the time-tested rigorus atelier methods of artistic skills development. During my first month of study under Susan, my observational and drawing skills have improved beyond what I initially expected.
I am very pleased with my progress and confident that as I continue my course of study under Susan, that my art skills will improve tremendously. Before accepting me as a student, Susan interviewed me and reviewed my current work. She then advised on a course of study customized to my particular art skill goals and what she saw as areas where I could use further work. She also laid out the level of comittment and rigor that it would take to reach the skill level that I had in mind.
As an instructor, Susan is constantly challenging me in areas where I need to grow, and provides insightful reviews of my work each week. Her training in Atelier methods provides her a strong background that is otherwise difficult to find in art instruction.
Again, I strongly recommend Susan, especially when someone wishes a strong foundation of classical artistic skills.
