Learn the magic of making music on Caribbean steel drums /pan. Enjoy the basics of sticking, rolling and playing traditional and contemporary Caribbean tunes such as Jamaica Farewell, Banana Boat Song, Red Red Wine, Little Mermaid's Under the Sea, Hot Hot Hot, and other favorites.
Beginning and intermediate students; individual and ensemble instruction also available for recitals and performances.

With over 30 years experience in the industry, Harry Best’s insights easily and quickly de-mystify the steel drum, making learning interesting and fun for his students.
A native of St. Lucia in the Caribbean, Harry has been one of the top providers of Caribbean steel drum music to patrons all over northern California. He has founded steel drum bands, conducted steel drum classes and promoted steel drum events.
He currently runs private and group classes at the Civic Arts Community Music School in Walnut Creek; at the Alameda School of Music in Alameda; the Orinda Community Center; and the city of Moraga.
He is the author of four books on steel drums and Caribbean Music. He is also a performing and recording artist with four albums to his credit.
