This class focuses on two-handed "Spey" rods. Spey rod popularity has been growing by leaps and bounds over the last decade; find out why. This two-part class includes a two hour in-shop classroom session where you will learn about rods, reels, lines, sink tips, and the various essentials needed to be productive with a spey rod. This is followed on Sunday with a five-hour drift boat trip where students will learn the basic casts involved with these 13 to 15 foot rods, how to mend, how to fight fish ,and how to land your catch. Some steelhead fly fishing experience is recommended.
