In this class students will learn the techniques used for taking Steelhead on a fly. You'll start with a two hour in-shop classroom session where you will learn about the tackle, knots, rigging, and the essentials needed to catch Steelhead on a fly. On Sunday there is a five-hour drift boat float trip. This extensive on-water portion of the class will teach you the skills needed to find where steelhead hold, how to present your fly to them, and how to effectively play and land these hard-charging sea-run fish. Some fly fishing experience is a plus but is not mandatory.
