I would love to take a trip at some point to develop conversational French. If I could go anywhere for two weeks to do so, where should I go?

    France, silly! :)

Oh, you mean specifically where in France, don't you? :) If you're thinking about a class, I'd save the money and put it towards your France trip. Two weeks is a small chunk, and if you can at all extend that I would. I'm a huge fan of immersion, having become fluent in German in six months starting from zero while living in Vienna. In the meantime, get a Rosetta Stone from your library to get a head start. They really are as great as their commercials say they are. Also, from what I've seen in my (somewhat limited) travels, people in large cities like Tokyo, Vienna, or Paris are more likely to speak English ... and want to practice on you. So I'd pick a smaller city if you can, where they're less likely to know English.

That's a really good call. I figure everyone goes with a trip to Paris, but southern France would be really nice (no pun intended). I heard that Bono has a house down there... maybe we could house swap!
