Manny Pacquiao's Way of Recycling Pumpkins
Posted by Joseph Sunga on November 05, 2009
When preparing for his fight next weekend, Manny Pacquiao recycles his pumpkins as punching bags. Obviously, not everyone has the boxing skills he has -- so what can we do to recycle those jack-o-lanterns?
- If you have a compost heap or if your waste service provides composting -- dump it there.
- If you have a garden, dig a hole and cover it up. The pumpkin will slowly enrich the compost it's buried in.
- If you forgot to take the seeds out when creating the jack-o-lantern -- take them out and either dry them to eat or bury it in with the pumpkin so it can grow for next year.
Those are just some easy tips on how you can optimize the decaying jack-o-lantern you may have sitting outside of your doorstep.
