Why an artist needs a biography

Why Write a Bio?
Even if you have only been working glass for a short time it is a good idea to write a bio. These are just a few reasons:
1. It gives people a very clear idea of who you are as an artist
and why you chose your medium (glass).
2. It makes you take time to reflect on why you are doing what you are doing in life.
3. It makes you look more professional (trust me, the good galleries look for professionalism).
4. Most shops and shows prefer a good bio and good pictures to a long fancy resume.
Check out the Artist's Bios on the website to see what one might look like. http://www.wildfireglassstudio.com/wildfire_glass_kristan_green_bio.html

I would add a bio on your "About Me" in your profile. Also add some photos, it would be great to see some glass art from you. Cheers!
