Review of Custom Tailored Guitar, Bass, and Acoustic Bass Lessons in Seattle, June 01, 2009
Myles is the perfect combination of teaching me the things I want to learn and pushing me into areas that I hadn't explored, but needed to. He is always positive, but he's never soft. I always feel motivated to progress. You won't find a better guitar/bass teacher anywhere.

Review of Custom Tailored Guitar, Bass, and Acoustic Bass Lessons in Seattle, March 03, 2009
I found Myles by asking for a suggestion at my local music store, having received a bass guitar as an unexpected birthday gift. I didn't even know I wanted to learn the bass, and now it's one of my favorite things. Myles really delivers on his objective of customizing lessons for each student. The first thing he asked me was what kind of music I liked to listen to and he wrote out a few lines of a favorite song and taught it to me at the first lesson. Although I was new to the bass, I had prior music experience so I already read music and knew some theory. Myles has done a great job of helping me extend what I already knew while developing new skills. He has introduced me to new music while also pursuing music that I suggest, and he always seems to assign exactly what I need to get to the next step.
Myles is incredibly knowledgable about music theory, music history and a wide variety of styles of music. But he explains things very clearly and is easy to communicate with. His love of music and of teaching is evident in every lesson. He is always encouraging, never critical, and makes you feel as if there's no reason why you can't become an awesome musician yourself. I recommend him without hesitation to anyone, any level, any age.
