I have been playing the guitar for over 25 years and teaching guitar for over 20 years. I tailor lessons to each student in a fun, relaxing atmosphere. My program for beginners focuses on chords, strumming, fundamental exercises, and a little bit of music theory to know how songs work. I strive to keep the lessons enjoyable and interesting while aiming for a high standard of education.
Whether you’re looking to play for fun at home, around the campfire, or want to learn practical music theory for composition and/or improvisation, I have instruction programs for all levels and styles from beginner to advanced and from ages 7 years on up.
I myself have taken hundreds and hundreds of private guitar and vocal lessons over the years and I know both sides of the story. I always want students to look forward to their lesson, even if they haven't practiced. There is always something we can work on.

I absolutely LOVE guitar lessons with David. He is so intuitive and balanced about giving enough theory and practical tools that I don't feel saturated and am making serious progress. I tried learning on my own in the past and finally feel over the hump. Several other women and I got together to do bi-weekly lessons and he gave us a great group rate - in our own homes! I can't say enough good things about his teaching!

I have been taking lessons with David for over a year now. He is a very talented guitar player and a great teacher. He allows me to learn at my own pace and tailors the class to my musical interests.
