Cathy is the reason I have totally enjoyed learning the autoharp over the last 3-4 years. I began as a complete beginner (but I could read music) and she was VERY patient with me. All of her lessons are inspirational and fun. She is responsible for my new found passion: thinking about the autoharp all the time (even if at times I am too busy to play). She even encouraged me to play on stage at an autoharp gathering event a couple years ago -- scary but it made me a much better autoharp player. She is great and has a GREAT heart and sense of humor.

Cathy Britell is an instructor who makes her students comfortable without regard to their level of musical accomplishment. She can point advanced students in directions they hadn't thought to investigate on their own, and is equally helpful to beginners who are just learning to hold their instrument. The Pacific Northwest is fortunate indeed to have available an instructor who makes lessons or classes fun and inspiring.
