French Horn Private Lessons
I teach private horn lessons in the greater Seattle area. Most of my lessons are taught at the students home. We work on: proper posture, breathing techniques, embouchure formation, music reading skills, musicality, solo performance, college preparation, and other aspects of being a good musician. All ages and experience levels are welcome.

I charge $45 per one hour session. I only teach full hour lessons. I collect for four lessons at the first lesson of the month. If there are five lessons in the month the extra will be held over to another month where it can be applied. To cancel or reschedule a lesson without being charged I require twenty four hours notice. Short notice cancellations are taken on a case by case basis and most are rescheduled in short order.

My son started taking French horn lessons from Matthew since the summer after 5th grade--6 years now. He's been getting excellent to very good ratings at most of his evaluated performances and has been first horn in the school district orchestra the past two years and will be again in his senior year. Matthew has kept him apprised of horn events (performances and opportunities to play), done recordings for auditions, and advised on mouthpieces and horns and where to get horn services. It is very convenient that he comes to the home to teach. Highly recommend Matthew as a French horn teacher
