Beach Glass and Pebbles Bezel
From
Iris Sandkuhler
Subject: Jewelry Making Classes
Ages: 18 to 70 year olds
This lesson is the distance version of the traditional bezel workshop that I teach in classrooms. It is delivered via a PDF file.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of designing, cutting, filing, soldering, surface treatments and bezel-setting irregularly-shaped sea glass and pebbles. No experience necessary (that’s why it’s so comprehensive). We will begin with cold techniques and graduate to hot, using crème brûlée torches. I have developed non-toxic alternatives to the traditional chemicals that most studios/schools use. Note: there are a lot of jewelry tools involved in this robust project. The good news is that you’ll have invested in approximately 85% of the tools it takes to start a serious jewelry studio (or take other workshops). And, if you take more of my distance learning lessons, you’ll have about 90% of the tools you need to do them!
As of April 10th, 2009, I have 105 images which include diagrams black/white and (mostly) color photos. The document is 72 pages long.
This labor intensive workshop normally takes six+ hours to teach in a classroom full of people. The good news with distance learning lessons is that you pace yourself to the beat of your own drummer!
Pre-requisites: For the bezel itself, none. It’s taught from the ground up.
Cost: $135.00 US Dollars.
Since this is a PDF file, it isn't possible to "return" this product and it cannot be shared. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm friendly!
