Design to Fit
From

Subject: San Francisco Knitting Classes
Skill level: Intermediate, Advanced
Tired of knitting sweaters that never fit quite right or aren't flattering? Learn to design a sweater that actually fits you! Base your sweater design on the design elements that flatter your body type, and learn how to take measurements and get the fit you want.
Note: This class is intended for knitters who have already tackled their first sweater project.
Supplies:
Bring a measuring tape (not ruler) to our first class. We will be taking our body measurements and a "flexible device" (metal or cloth tape) is necessary. Also bring notebook size paper for copying diagram and writing measurements.
Homework:
* Look through catalogs, magazines and knitting books for sweaters that inspire you. Bring at least 3 different pictures to class.
* Bring to class an example of ready-made and/or hand knit sweater that looks good on you and one that could fit you better.
