Its never too late to start. My husband takes Tae Kwon Do with my 9 year old son, its a great bonding experience.

Abe, most of us consider 18 a fairly young age to start! I also know of a lady that trains with my Grandmaster Kim, Dong-Hoon in Tucson Arizona, she started with him at 60 or 70. I tested at the same time she did for 1st Degree Black Belt (I started when I was 18 by the way). We are now both Master level, and she is the oldest practicing martial artist in Tae Kwon Do Chung Do Kwan.

Anyway, age is not a restriction in and of itself.

It's never too late! Don't put limits on yourself, thinking it's ever too late to fulfill your dreams. If you do, you'll spend your life doing nothing and trying to make up for lost time when you're older and unhappy. Live your life to the fullest! :)

That's a great age to start. You still have your health and flexibility.

It is never to late to start training. It will improve your confidence and your understanding of your own body. It is also good for your mental conditioning.

Alan Friend

Absolutely not! My daughter started when she began high school, and is now an expert.

Only if you think it is, As most people already know I specialize in the InternalMartialArts, which specifies Mind formost, then body, so as you believe so shall you do. Control your thoughts, Control your body, Control your life, be careful what you ask for, what you see(or say) is what you get, its that simple, relax and enjoy, life is wonderful!
