  • "karate for physical and mental well being"

Review of Karate Lessons, September 16, 2008

My daughter and I attend the family class. We have both improved our strength, flexibility, and overall fitness. We have ab muscles now! And we are having lots of fun!
Our Sensei is a wonderful teacher. He not only teaches us how to do karate, but also the history of Goju Ryu system. There is so much to learn, and so much to practice.
Going to the Dojo with my daughter has brought us closer, and has helped us to respect each other. It has also given us a boost to our self-esteem.
Sensei has many valuable lessons to teach us. Karate is not just a sport or exercise, it is a way of life. We feel part of a community, part of history, and it has enriched our lives.

  • "Excellent traditional martial arts class!"

Review of Karate Lessons, August 14, 2008

I have trained in several different traditional karate styles over the past ten years, and started training with Sensei Bob Ellis about three years ago. I really appreciate the in depth level of training offered - not only is class a great workout, but there is always something more to learn - it keeps me from getting bored! I come to class to master something new, exercise, learn self defense techniques, be part of a community, and participate in something that has been passed down from teacher to student for many years. I find that this school meets all of those needs!
