Conflict is a fact of organizational life and your managerial role often places you in the center of the fray. This workshop equips you with insights and techniques to reconsider what you think about the conflicts you encounter. The program will also help you more deftly manage everyday workplace disputes towards healthier outcomes. Throughout, you will learn a broad range of professional mediation techniques to help you resolve problems among your staff and colleagues. The workshop combines Q&A, demonstration, real-world stories and role-play.
Training Objectives:
• Name four positive attributes of conflict
• Define issues & interests as used in a conflict resolution context
• Given a list of issues in a specific conflict, be able to identify probable interests
• List and demonstrate the four steps for speaking in conflict
• Name at least five listening roadblocks
• Name six conflict listening skills
• Given a mock conflict scenario, be able to apply at least five skills from the training
