From the time of ancient civilizations sound has been used as a way to enter altered states of consciousness. Sound is a simple and effective tool that can be used to generate states of well-being, relieve anxiety, create focus, and enhance creativity.
Sound research has demonstrated significant shifts in brain function and physiology in response to sound. Sound has beneficial effects on the immune system, sleep, emotions, energy levels, and can reduce stress.
In this workshop we will cover several exercises that activate different aspects of brain function to create meditative states, and we will learn how to use sound to influence our energetic and biological physiology. We will start with formless sound and work with breath and movement, and then combine sound with intention and form.
This is a great class for people who have a hard time with other forms of meditation, or for people who would like to incorporate sound into their meditation routine. No experience needed, if you can breath you can do this! Currently the classes are free, this won’t last so if you are interested now is a great time to come and try it out.
