Review of Carla Grahn, January 05, 2009
Carla has the ability to make even the most beginning artist comfortable in what can be a challenging medium. Her patience and positive attitude helped me immensely. I loved the way she showed several of her own creations that demonstrated the breadth of the medium. She has taught for many years at Pratt fine Arts Center and we have always valued her professionalism and presence.

Review of Carla Grahn, December 27, 2008
Carla's go-with-the-flow teaching style is normally not my thing, but her depth of knowledge, patience and enthusiasm won me over in my beginning welding class. I was expecting a fairly structured curriculum and instead Carla let her students help determine the focus of the course. Despite this flexibility, she kept the course moving forward at a brisk pace and covered all the basics - including a strong focus on safety. Carla was particularly adept at inspiring us to embrace different techniques and methods. When asked to provide design advice, Carla was generous, thoughtful and balanced our need to tap into her knowledge and experience with our need to experiment and learn.
