Take this opportunity to explore the use of traditional forging techniques and apply them to develop a better understanding of how to transform steel into sculptural forms. Using the forge to heat steel at average temperatures of over 2000 degrees the material takes on a whole new life becoming as malleable as clay under the force of a hammer. With guided instruction, you will design and create an original sculptural projects. This class is designed to suit blacksmithing students of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Prerequisite: None
