Subject: Lake Oswego Music Theory Lessons
Ages: 8 year olds or older
Skill level: Beginner, Intermediate
Individual lesson or a group class depending on preference. Beginning and intermediate levels. Four students needed minimum to form a class. Beginning theory includes the very basics of note reading, sight singing, ear training, rhytm pattern recognition and basic music vocabulary. These skills help you to play your instrument better in the orchestra, to write down your own melodies etc.
Intermediate theory includes improving your sense of harmony, recognizing and writing down more complex rhythms and melodies, ear training, beginnings of composing and improvisation.
