the 4 week rhythm section/vocal workshops are taught by the areas finest jazz musicians who will offer to share the wisdom they have to budding instrumentalists who join us and wish to work on their comping, soloing and improvisation skills. They may also wish to augment their time in the workshop with some private lessons with the bandmember of their choice.

Review of Greta Matassa, May 07, 2008

Greta Matassa's workshop has to be the coolest and most educational experience I've had with music in a long time. Not only do you get an opportunity to work with Seattle's beloved Greta, you couldn't ask for a more talented ryhthm section. I found that being involved with such lofty talent was intimidating at first, but the atmoshere is certainly the opposite. I wanted to do my best and found that I was practicing more than ever and coupled with private lessons blew away my friends and family at the showcase presented at Tula's. This is not only a great place for singers, but instumentalists as well. I worked with a sax player at my workshop and we heard a violinist as well! So much fun! Do it!
