Singled out in the 2008 Musical America feature, "Young Artists: More Thrills of Discovery”, as one of the "up-and-coming talents" in the classical music world, pianist Di Wu's reputation as an artist to be watched continues to grow.

Highlights of Ms. Wu’s 2008-09 season include re-engagements with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra. Di Wu will also make her debut with Symphony in C at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts this season, in addition to a recital debut at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

Di Wu made her professional debut with the Beijing Philharmonic at age fourteen. Since then, she has performed with various US orchestras, including the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra at New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and twice with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall. As a recitalist, Ms. Wu has performed throughout the U.S., as well as in Barbados, Canada, and China. She also has toured Europe, performing at Germany’s Klavier Festival Ruhr and Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund, the Musées d’Orsay and de Grenoble in France, and in Bolzano, Italy.

A prizewinner of several piano competitions, Ms. Wu won the 2007 National Audition held by Astral and is now represented by Astral Artists. Other competition prizes include first prize at the 2005 Hilton Head International Piano Competition, and the 2000 Missouri Southern International Piano Competition.

Di Wu is currently enrolled in the Artist Diploma program at The Juilliard School under the guidance of Joseph Kalichstein and Robert McDonald.
