Review of Private Painting Instruction, May 04, 2009

I took Gage's 'introduction to painting' class last year and had a great experience. I am taking drawing classes for several years now and actively working on mixed media on paper and photography. Gage's class was perfectly balanced and very useful for gaining basic skills in oil painting. I learned a lot not only about technique but also about the general creative process. Although I haven't done any work in oil before his class I do not consider myself a beginner. However, I feel that his teaching methods are flexible enough to recommend his class to beginners as well.

Review of Private Painting Instruction, May 04, 2009

Gage gave me the instruction and courage to get back to my artistic endeavors. He held the class to high standards, while being exceptionally encouraging. He was willing to take time away from class to give 1:1 critiques--something that really helped me improve my paintings.
