Review of Language of Parenting Conversations, August 25, 2008

My husband and I hosted a garden party a few months back and it was a big hit. We personally got a lot out of it and so did the various friends (and couples) we had attend. Everyone asked specific questions to their family dynamic and children (how/why/when??); we ALL learned a great deal this way. From how to speak to our children to knowing when to say not much at all and use more non-verbal communication. Janet was an outstanding leader and knew just the perfect balance of speaking and letting us speak and then responding to the whole. There were so many specific "skills" discussed and that, for us, was the best part. Walking away feeling like we were armed with how to approach certain things with our son differently (or, in some instances, keep doing certain things the same with slight tweaks).

Janet and this group dynamic is...highly recommended!

Our Garden Party with Janet was fantastic. It was so wonderful to be able to sit in a casual atmosphere, amongst friends, and discuss parenting. Janet did a wonderful job of addressing our most pressing topics and guiding our conversations in a way that we could all learn from. In just two hours we all came away with actionable take-aways ready to be put into practice. Thank you Janet for helping us create meaningful relationships with our children!
