Subjects addressed are: Setting Up Your Drum Set, Tuning, Developing Independence and Dynamic Balance of the Limbs, Creating Fills, Set Ups and Soloing, Chart Reading, Transcribing Drum Parts, Drum Set Styles; Rock, Jazz, Big Band, R&B, Blues, Funk, Braz...
Drum set study includes the history of the drum set and all styles from early ragtime through the modern styles of today. Subjects addressed are: Setting Up Your Drum Set, Tuning, Developing Independence and Dynamic Balance of the Limbs, Creating Fills, Set Ups and Soloing, Chart Reading, Transcribing Drum Parts, Drum Set Styles; Rock, Jazz, Big Band, R&B, Blues, Funk, Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, Caribbean, Country and Praise Band.
Students are encouraged to be well rounded in all styles of drum set performance and lessons include play-a-long tracks to develop the proper time control and feel. Students are welcome to bring in recordings of their choice for study and transcription assistance.

Dan starts at the correct skills for teaching percussion. He starts with rudiments and the physical approach to the instrument. After this is taught it is carried throughout the rest of the levels of instruction. This causes the student to always learn from the best foundation as they cover various styles and instruments. Absolutely the best there is.

Mr. Adams is very knowledgable in all aspects of percussion. He can work with large groups and with single people. I knows how to push you and make you improve. Anybody would be lucky to take lessons with somebody half as good as Mr. Adams.
