He is currently offering lessons and performing full time in the Northwest.
What is tabla?..... Tabla is a North Indian classical percussion instrument. Traditionally tabla accompanies vocalists and all types of North Indian instruments including the sitar, sarod, bansuri etc. Tabla also accompanies devotional music such as kirtan and bhajan.

Ravi is such a great teacher. I think the thing that impresses me most about Ravi is that he sincerely cares about the quality of your playing, not just the speed or what compositions you can recite. He takes the time to correct your hand so that your technique can allow you to improve over time. He is also very patient, and yet pushes you to the next level when you need it. I think another thing that sets him apart is his knowledge of the music- raga and tala- that goes beyond an understanding of complex rhythm. He knows and loves this music so well, and I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from someone with such knowledge and enthusiasm. 5/5 Stars!
