Photography 102 - Studio Basics

Want to explore studio photography? Interested in pursuing fashion, glamour, product, or portrait photography in a studio setting?

In our 5, 2-hour sessions we teach you the fundamentals of studio use, to prepare you for your own studio shoots. We teach in a laid-back, hands-on and fun environment, focusing on building your skills and confidance.

Topics covered include:
Introduction to basic studio equipment (lights, light meters, etc.)
Lighting essentials
Use of lighting modifiers (soft boxes, umbrellas, gels, grids, etc)
Metering

Most sessions will include primarily hands-on instruction.

Final session will include live model to be shot in a style decided upon by class participants.

Participants should have a basic camera knowledge, including use in manual settings. No studio experience required.
