Adult Group Piano, by ear and by note reading, chords, etc.
Biggest regret of any adult I know is that they didn't stick with piano or that their parents didn't MAKE THEM!

Group piano with Miss Katy is a "no experience necessary" experience, where many students look forward to this hour all week long.
We learn how to play chords, beginning week one, with some "music appreciation," as my students call it.
A little drumming for easy rhythmic learning, some singing as a group to "get" the song and much more.
My goal is to prepare an adult to play a lead sheet, which contains a simple one-note melody with basic chords. These are contained in "Fake books", plentiful in music stores. And my adult students can play without music, too, to write songs down they create.
8 week sessions, and some like to repeat a session more than once.
Incredibly good for your brain and your whole body and sense of pride and enjoyment in yourself and your life!
Google "recreational music making" for dramatic science on how music lessons bring skills but also health and happiness.
Call or email asap, as I limit to 3 students per time slot.
Feel free to ask for a time your group would like, as I may have it.
DAYTIME - some openings but popular.
I adore all ages, but my adults are especially close to my heart. My lifetime of music makes our Q/A by email a joy for me and fulfilling for the insatiable curiosity of adults, once they jump back in to music and find "the water is fine!"
Congrats! It's not too late at all, and you will be a pianist yet!

Review of Miss Katy Gilberts at Katys Musikgarten, October 21, 2009
Katie is awesome. I'd love to be in her classes. She is fun, knowledgeable, energetic and a great musician! If I lived in Washington I'd be in her class! She is so helpful as a colleague. I highly recommend her program.

Review of Miss Katy Gilberts at Katys Musikgarten, June 19, 2009
We LOVE Katy! My two boys have gone to several music classes, and Katy by far is the BEST!. She's very patient with the younger kids and is great at explaining what we're doing and how it will impact your child. She has a genuine connection to the children and understands how they feel and hear music. Her program is very easy to follow and he lessons grow with the kids from toddler to adult! We HIGHLY recommend Miss Katy's Musikgarten ! ! !
